  1. I once encountered a situation where a client and I exchanged over 30 emails. I think he liked to write even more than I do! He wanted an all-afternoon tete a tete as my guest, well in advance. But he changed the date and time, requiring an extra day at a 4 star on my part, and was vague about committing to when to expect a reservation payment. Maybe it would, in fact, come to pass, but I myself would rather divert my energy into providing the best 4 hours of his life. Tolstoy can wait! ;)
  2. ...."Closer"/NIN - truth! Thanks for the post, Bianca! ;)
  3. Thanks, Johnnybird. It`s good to know that our gals made a difference! ;)
  4. Greetings, sisters and brothers, I would like to suggest a forum for how you came to be involved in the business. I trust I'm not repeating anything, but I have found that many of the people on Lyla/CERB are very interesting. I would love to hear your story. That includes the clients, too. I am sure that they have a story to tell. My story begins when I was a child. I was born in England. My mother always told us to respect working women, because they provided a valuable service. That attitude has prevailed my entire life. That life has been rich, fulfilling, and successful in the real world. As an older woman, I found myself becoming a counterpart to mature, successful men. A connection of mutual choice on an intellectual, sexual and even spiritual level, without the dross of expectation. Simply put, I love men. Compensation is the boundary. What is your story? What brings you here; motivates and stimulates you? Why do you love what you do? I'd love to hear your story. Cheers, Ann XXX
  5. Great post! ;) -Is there life without Lulus? Only pant that can take me gardening, shopping, and bench pressing. Before that, there were ponte pants; they were more flared, but just as versatile. I like to mix yoga pants with accessories like big silk scarves, leather motorcycle style jackets, men's white shirts with a cinched waist, and high heeled boots. Or try a silk pyjama top with layers of necklaces... Personally, my all-time favorite is leather pants. It just seems like no European woman is without them. Even the pleathers can look very good. They do everything that jeans do, but with more style. Best, Ann xxx
  6. Since the new laws were implemented, almost all of my new contacts have been from anonymous admirers. Aside from any obvious safety concerns, how motivating is that? hmmm - think I'll meet up with LEAFSNOW and wing whatever connection we might have! Yeesh. Some have also suggested references from other providers, but in my experience, this can be dodgy too. A thought is to team up or bring in (discreet) security. Has anyone had any success with this?
  7. TRUE CONFESSIONS....I was with my very first client, and I made mistakes. Let`s just say that he was very, very good at pleasuring, and at one point I blurted out that I should be paying him! It was said in the heat of the moment, but damn, he was something really special...... ;)
  8. I would say what I hate is the ongoing misconception about what an escort really is. Mathematics escapes the critics. It seems that nobody has figured out the truth: there are a lot more clients than there are escorts. We choose. Clients are favoured because of our genuine interest in them. I would hazard a guess - and I don`t think I`m wrong in this - that clients have formed long term relationships and even marriages with escorts. And why not....I have `met`many kind and helpful women and men in Lyra who give their love and caring along with their passion. There is also the proverbial op ed media piece about escorts as the high-booted streetwalker off-angle shot in a dodgy part of town. Anyone who has ever actually met an escort knows that we are exceptionally low profile and highly discreet; the original `you`d never guess`girls. But that doesn`t sell media, it just perpetuates a lie. This is to you, sisters and brothers, for keeping your heads high and sharing the love. God bless! ;)
  9. Not everyone uses my favorite site. BP reaches smaller markets effectively, and allows me to channel them into my favorite inexpensively. Men in the burbs need love, too!
  10. I agree. And I would not limit screening to higher end providers.
  11. I am almost entirely incall based. I don't take on many clients, but I want to feel confident with the ones that I do. I found that other methods don't always work. For example, other providers are not always straightforward or forthcoming about their clients - at least, in this city! :icon_biggrin: Cell phones are untraceable, you know the drill. I link my postings back to Linked In where possible. Most of my clients have postings on Linked In. You can spot the dodgy ones - no photo, few connections, ridiculous job. And of course, you can expand your screening research from there. If the guy at the door doesn't look like Mr. Linked In, you know what to do. Of course, this is not for everybody. And it won't tell you about temprament or behaviour. But he will know that you know who he is, and that couts for something. I like the comment earlier about trust. If he is forthcoming and not the kind to mock screening, the trust element goes up. After all. we wouldn't be in business long if we violated it, would we?
  12. The economy sucks, and apparently, so do certain clients.....:) Some clients have an itch to scratch, without the scratch to afford it. They probably stiff servers in restaurants and bars too. If they pay $200 for full service, one service costs half that - at least, they think. At least they are being up front about their up fronts before they show up. Providers so inclined can put a time limit on it, such as half an hour or twenty minutes, which has its own depraved, erotic appeal. I suppose! ;)
  13. I am on Linked In. In addition to having a network on Linked In, I also have people from Linked In looking at my posting daily, and they mostly have photos. This gives you name, photo, and employer. Nothing is totally foolproof, but I found this very helpful. Simply ask your client to look at your Linked In page. Their visit on your page will be anonymously recorded on your records, and you have trackable information. Once you have this information, check out the company website.Sometimes they have photos, too. While you are there, google their name and company and look up "Images". The Linked In Photo, the Images Photo, and the man in the lobby should all match. I myself don't trust my instincts much when it comes to my newness, and my life. I listen for consistency. Does his story make sense? You can dig up lots of factoids on a Gmail address, too. How many followers, and who? Mostly male or female? hint - older clients tend not to have them. Is most activity, say, in BC, when he says he is from Ottawa? Consistency, women! And to spare you this snooping personally, think of switching to Hushmail. Observe the request for special favours, driving a distance, etc. You must be in control. Have him park where you can see his plates and again, make sure it is consistent with his story. If they are Florida plates, vamoosh. Have him meet you where you can observe him, such as a restaurant or even on the street. If it's wrong, you know what to do. If you go with him, vet in front of him. It is possible for a skilled jerk to find their way around anything, so there is one more method I endorse. Surprise! :vf:If you have had good self defense training specifically for these situations, you may not win the local competition. But you will have the confidence to overcome a much larger opponent. Your most powerful tool is your mind. Cheers, Ann
  14. The first time I heard this, I was at a honky tonk bar in a northern town. Sene went from raucous AC/DC Mick George T to everyone moving like zombies. Horny as hell. It hits you on a visceral level that I for one was totally unprepared for; being both controlled by the music, and yet totally out of control.
  15. One of the issues with this business is that it is, by it's very nature, easy to dismiss. Not in Canada, you say! I ljust picked this up off of Terri Jean's bog. It is a letter to the powers that be, signed by hundreds of PhD's, doctors, and advocates. Enjoy, Ann http://blog.terrijeanbedford.com/2014/06/03/government-prostitution-survey-results-a-message-from-terri-jean-bedford/
