  1. Just bought a Clymer service manual for my motorbike, literally seconds ago!
  2. I traded in probably my favourite car I ever owned because it had a 318 with a six-pack carb on it, and gas went up to $0.38 a litre. Who the hell could afford that? What's worse is I traded it in on a Z24. :ablow: Regrets, I've had a few.......
  3. The way I see personal integrity is that you will make decisions and abide by your beliefs or what you feel is right at the given moment you are faced with a decision. Most of us are constantly learning or getting new information about things, so therefore our opinions and beliefs can change with each new piece of information. If someone seemingly contradicts an earlier statement or belief it doesn't necessarily mean they have no integrity, it may simply mean they have gotten some new information that has caused them to see things differently, or change what they believe. They may also face a choice in which there is no option that allows them to be perfectly true to their beliefs, so they are forced to choose the option closest to what they believe, even if that may appear to an outsider as them going against what the outsider has perceived that person's beliefs to be. The other thing to think of is this: many people seem to link personal integrity with morality. Morality is something altogether different than personal integrity in my opinion. If someone is completely self-centred and only believes in doing what is best for themselves even at the expense of others, and then makes decisions based on that, it doesn't mean they have no integrity. If they are consistent in always doing this, even while hurting others, they are still acting on their convictions, therefore they still have personal integrity.
  4. buying a pasta utensil to be used specifically as a back scratcher, then using it to hit that really itchy spot in the middle of my back. Unbelievable relief! ETA: apparently it's called a pasta fork. Didn't know what it was called so added a pic
  5. Thanks to all who replied to my question. I had brought up pretty much all the answers to my friend, about the lost wages, paying for the SP's time, chemistry, getting to know the SP first, etc, but he wouldn't listen to me. The more he thought about it the more he was convinced that every SP in the world would just jump at the chance to have that 'free' vacation as he thinks of it. Keep in mind he has never seen an SP (I think he may have gone to a massage parlour once), nor does he frequent any sites like this. Listening to him last night it started to sound like his idea of an SP is what he has seen on tv and movies. He looked shocked when I told him that not all SP's are those poor little abused streetwalkers from some lame cop show that would just love a chance to be taken away from all the low-lifes and spend a relaxing week or two away from them in the company of a 'gentleman'. (yes, I put it to him like that almost verbatim) I was trying to tell him the truth before he embarrassed himself by contacting any SP's with his proposed arrangement, but he was having none of what I had to say. Thank you all for the responses. I now have something to show him so maybe now he will see his idea was not as good as he thought. Additional Comments:
  6. Whew, just got finished reading this entire thread! Lots of good questions and answers, really informative. Thank you Summer for starting this, and thanks to all who have participated. This is a very timely thread for me as well, as last night I had a conversation with a friend of mine and he brought up the subject of escorts and a question, so I figured I would ask it here so I could give him an answer from some of the ladies here. (and got me a little curious as to the answer as well) OK, first some background before the question. A few years ago this friend and I took a vacation and got roped into buying a 'membership' to a resort chain. Not exactly a time share, as we can choose from any of this company's resorts in about 110 different countries, pay reduced rates and get added perks. We both bought one, we don't share one, which would have made more sense, but we were really drunk, and the girls selling them were incredibly hot, so.....) ;) Anyway, since we bought these we have both gone on a couple trips per year, but have only been able to go together once, as with our work schedules we haven't been able to be off at the same times. The rest of the times we have gone alone. He just got back from a trip to Mexico which he went alone, and he said that he is feeling more and more self concious about travelling alone the more he goes. I have felt that more than once on my trips as well, so I understand how he feels. It's mostly the excursions, not so bad if it's something like going to see same ancient ruins or something, but going on a harbour cruise or something that's supposed to be romantic can kind of make you feel weird. Anyway, he asked me if I thought he would be able to find an escort to go with him next time. Jokingly at first, but then more seriously the more he thought about it. I said he could for sure, as long as he paid whatever they were asking. He said he didn't mean for sex, just companionship, and someone to go on excursions with, etc. He figured it should be enough if he was paying for everything, why would they need to be paid on top of that? I tried to explain to him that it didn't really work that way, and brought up the chemistry issue. (if they aren't really compatible then he'd be stuck with that person for a week or so) He just kept saying things along the lines of "but it's not for sex, and they get a free vacation and don't have to do anything except hang out with me" (I did say I thought sometimes he should pay ME to hang out with him, why would he think a woman would want to hang out with him for free. He then tried to hit me in the junk with the beer he was throwing me at the time :) But I digress...) Anyway, to put the matter to rest I thought I would just ask his question point blank so I can show him the responses. So Ladies, would you ever consider going on an all expense paid vacation to some exotic location, with no sex on the table, just as a companion for no other compensation? If for whatever reason he wanted to have sex would it be something he could just pay for at the time? (sorry, that last question sounds kind of...harsh I guess, not sure how to word it differently) (I apologize for the length of this post, and thank you for taking the time to read it)
  7. It was one of my favourite shows for a while, but unfortunately I moved about 3/4 of the way through the first season, and didn't get TV until long after the season was over. I may have to see if I can find the first season somewhere to get caught up so I can start season 2
  8. sadly, I would never qualify for this sport. I can't seem to find any nearby practice facilities ;)
  9. You know what shocks me most about your post? The fact that your dancer name is "Kelly". I thought all dancers were supposed to be named Mercedes, or Porsche, or LandRover or something like that. ;) Seriously though, what a dumbass move he pulled. It's hard to believe someone could be that dumb, but I guess they are out there. Hopefully it didn't cause any issues for you and your family.
  10. Thanks for the tip Cristy! I do have Alberta as my location right now, but I will change it to 'a province' right away, just for you! :P
  11. I know when I finally do get the chance to see some of the wonderful ladies on this site I won't be able to provide any references, at least at first. However, since I have nothing to hide from anyone (like a SO or anything) I will give full disclosure to the lady(s) (like real name, phone number, etc) if that is what they need. I am pretty sure my first contact will be through a pm here or an email if that is preferred, that way the lady can at least see my post history on here. Not sure if that will be enough for some of the ladies, but I guess I will see when the time comes. I get that some guys want their privacy, but I don't get lying about references and stuff to try to circumvent a SP's screening process. It just really makes them look shady, and throws up red flags.
  12. I have a couple. I remember being sick and laying on the couch, Mom turning on the TV just in time for the premier of a brand new show called Happy Days. Also remember watching the movie Orca on our 13" black and white set in my parents bedroom. (my parents had just bought our gigantic new 16" colour set, which I remember weighed so much that my dad and uncle struggled getting into the house) Also remember seeing about 5 minutes of a movie called something like Attack of the Turtle Monsters, which gave me nightmares for weeks (I was around 4 when this happened) And when I got older sunday nights was always Hardy Boys night, then bath time, then bed. I was so into this show I begged my mom to let me grow my hair long enough to have a Shaun Cassidy haircut. Even though the show was tied in with Nancy Drew I refused to watch it, 'cuz it was a 'girl show'. You know I hated it if I preferred a bath to watching it, even though my mom said it was OK for me to stay up to watch it before bath time :) ETA: I also have a lot of memories of eating supper at my Grandparent's house while Wide World of Disney and "Fairies On The Prairies" (as my Uncle dubbed it, he was a teenager, and cool, so that's what I called it too, despite the many slaps to the yap I took for it :) ) played. The kids always ate in the living room, as there wasn't enough room at the table for us. This was before Sunday became Hardy Boys night. (ha, just noticed Katherine mentioned these shows in the post just before me. )
  13. tighty whiteys today, since it was laundry day. But tomorrow is feeling like a cookie monster boxer day :)
  14. Wil Wheaton of Stand by Me / Star Trek TNG fame. Now a successful author as well as still appearing on tv as a guest star once in a while.
