  1. Hi, Thanks again for all the feedback. It's pretty clear that if I decide to come back, I'll have to think wisely about my strategy. Your insights were very useful. Right now, I'm leaning toward the "not coming back" option, unfortunately. Just two replies to two people who took the time to comment: Lily: I understand that in your case, you don't want this information, regardless of having "two lives", but your situation may not apply to me :) We all have different lives and I think we are free to make different life decisions. Mr Green: as I pointed out in my original post, I understand the double standard. It is precisely because of that double standard that I felt most people would be opposed to revealing their personal info. That said, I still haven't heard from the gals who *do* impose personal identification on their future dates. I know some of you do this. If it's too sensitive a subject to discuss out in the open, feel free to contact me by PM. Again, thanks a lot to everyone who contributed. Maddie
  2. Hi guys, Thanks a lot for your honest answers. Much appreciated. m.
  3. Well hello all, First, I'd like to briefly introduce myself. I'm an ex-indy who's led a bit of a life outside of this world and I'm considering reintegrating it to add a bit of fun/spice to my life. This business has always been a bit of a personal addiction for me. When you're single, it's quite nice to have men complimenting you all the time; the sexual intimacy is great, too, as I'm not really the seeks-one-night-stands-at-the-bar kind of girl. I know this might sound crazy for some, but I've always figured that this line of work was a far more secure way of fulfilling my "needs" than posting some random ad on Craigslist. I also find that I relate much better with men I've met in this business than with other men I've met on dating websites. I think the age gap has something to do with it (I've met mostly older men throughout my experience in this biz, I'm in my mid-30s now), and that age gap also has an impact on sexual maturity (i.e. not seeing my body as some sort of radio with dials that you just turn to produce a porn-movie type effect). However, the only way I could take the plunge again, due to my current work situation, is if I can get full disclosure on identity. I know from my previous stints in this business that providing personal info is not exactly the norm. So I wonder how you feel about having to provide proof of your identity. Obviously, email or board handles can't be relied upon. I'd need either a copy of personal ID, a confirmed booking in a hotel under your name that requires a CC, or a phone number (non-cell) that can be traced back to a full name. If I reintegrate the biz, it would be on a very exclusive basis as I don't really have time to engage in it on a more than extremely part-time basis. I'm thinking a couple times a month. It's not about the money with me; it's more about just doing something naughty, in great contradiction with my very studious real life. I'd love to hear what you have to say about this. I'd especially like to hear the girls' take. I know some of you only meet dates who've fully disclosed their identity. I wonder how you go about getting that info because it's never been my experience that it was easy to get. I'm also aware of websites that "certify" dates, but I am not satisfied with these. I'm not concerned about meeting someone who might be a bad date - my screening methods have never failed me; I'm concerned about meeting someone who might mix with my crowd, work in my area, or be likely to know people in my crowd or work area. I'm just want to make sure our paths would never meet in real life. The problem with this is that I'm not willing to offer the same personal information about myself. So there's a double standard going on. I want to know how you feel about that. I wish I could add a poll to gauge opinion, but haven't figured out how to do that. If a Mod is feeling especially nice, I'd just like the two options: "no, I don't mind disclosing my personal info" or "yes, I mind". Thanks, and happy Sunday all. Maddie
