So, I have now limited myself to just asking about rates, nothing else, seems to be the safest route.

Can we just ask about rates, and still be okay?

I figure that will mean less screening, and greater chance of disappointments.

What does everyone think?

Perhaps over time, things will normalize, but am more inclined to stick with knowns, regardless of a love of variety. Such maybe life. :-(

I think you and Lady Sophia are on the right track: you could simply ask what the rate is for an hour of their time. How you spend that time will be up to you.

Perhaps you'll play scrabble over a cup of tea.

Me... I am particularly fond of backgammon... I love the fact that the game is flexible enough to allow you to surprise a lady player.. and come from behind and win in the end ... yep I am competitive like that.

That's why they wanted to tell me to take my clothes off. I suspect I would enjoy it MUCH better naked.

No recommendations doesn't necessarily mean the lady isn't a reputable companion. One lady I saw asked me specifically not to write any recommendations, she had personal reasons for not wanting them. So my first four encounters (going by memory here) with her I couldn't write a recommendation. My fifth and sixth encounter, I wrote recommendations for her...with her permission. So a lady with no recommendation may not have them because she does not want them

Another lady had no recommendations in the cities I saw her (although very well known and respected) But I'm very happy to say she has a recommendation thread started in those cities we have met in after we had our encounters. Much deserved recommendation threads I might add.

As for no websites, one lady (she has a website now) when we met didn't have a website, but she has a recommendation thread pages long...all recommendations deserved btw.

And I can think off the top of my head two ladies who have websites and/or recommendations and were ladies I could not/would not ever recommend

My point is no recommendations and no website don't necessarily mean that lady is someone to avoid

My opinion only, the best tool to gauge if a lady is someone I'd like to meet is a board presence on Lyla. And not just advertising. Take part in discussions going on (gawd there are tons of forums here) Even those in a lighter vein, be it jokes, movies, music. That for me has worked best. Because after a lady has piqued my interest on Lyla, then I might look at her website, profile, and recommendations. Again my opinion only

I just want to point out that this might not be entirely accurate. I will never have a website. Or post my number anywhere. (Personal reasons) And just because a person does, it doesn't mean they are any more serious than someone who doesn't.

 

As someone who is new, I don't think it would have mattered if I had made a website. Until you get that first recommendation, you are a risk to see regardless of wether or not you have a website. A new girl with a new website does not make her more reputable than a new girl without a website (in my opinion).

 

Don't get me wrong though. Websites are great. I just don't think they make a person more legit. Anyone can make a website.

 

And without those risk takers out there, a new girl has no chance in this industry. So I thank those of you that took a risk on me! I say trust your gut, and if it's someone new, be careful, but don't shun her out of the game.... speaking of games... did some one mention naked oily twister?! What a blast that would be!

I agree 100% that the presence of a website is not a determinant of the legitimacy of a lady in fact I have met ladies who have websites and ladies who don't and are were very legit and professional.

That said I do think it is fair to say that many men clients will assume rightly or wrongly that the presence of a website is an indicator of a ladies reliability especially if the site is well done with professional pictures. So in a world of greater risk for clients the pressure for an online presence will likely grow.

I prefer it when a lady's profile is feature on a website, but it is not a prerequisite and doesn't in any way affect her credibility or how amazing she can be. It just helps get a sense of who she is. I suppose a cerb profile can do the same.

I think Lady Sophia is right that the perception is that LE will not put the effort in creating a fake website, but we never know for sure.

Now back to this naked twister: how many players can we have at once?

Forget the naked twister, I would much prefer to go skydiving ;-)

And I think in 2015 I'm going to have to renew my vows ;-)

My understanding on the matter is that it's legal for a gentleman to offer a lady monetary compensation for her time. As long as you are not asking rates for "prostitution related services" no laws are being broken.

The issue is not only if the guy asks for sexual services.... it is also if the lady OFFERS a sexual service and the guy agree's. It is legal to hire a "Escort" (someone who is paid to spend time with) it could be a escort to a social event, a escort to a high school reunion, a dinner date, or just someone to cuddle up and watch a movie with... it is also as far as I know legal to offer private exotic dance, stag dancers, private lingeria shows etc...
