Ottawa police sergeant resigns after being found guilty of corruption

So all this happened four years ago and they just fired him? There's evidence that he abused his position and they did nothing (until now) other than giving him a 4 year paid suspension and now a life police pension, but yesterday they gave the teenager who stabbed himself at Chapters a 2 year sentence, lifetime driving ban, and of course he'll have to deal with his life having a criminal record ... A teenager (not a grown up man like this Rohan character) that needs help as he suffers from a mental disorder ... And yes he did commit a crime but two years, no psychological treatment and ruining his life is excessive IMO, The police system is really messed up!

And the police wonder why many citizens do not trust the police anymore.

Well companions are citizens too ;-)

I would have to agree Talia Ciarra ... There's judges that get escorts, politicians, doctors and etc! Who cares..... This isn't anything new people..

We're all people here, he did not kill anyone/HE IS human and has needs. Who knows what happened with them behind closed doors....

What I don't agree with though is, him messing with the investigation, if that is even true.

There's way more serious matters and damage cops do, like taser someone to death in Toronto for no reason, all bc the boy went in his pocket!
