A question for the gents

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I was hoping for some help from the gents. Is downtown the only area of the city that you would visit a lady, or are there some othet areas that would work.? Im not looking for specific hotels just general areas.

Thank you gents for your words of wisdom,

Xo

Shelly Lane.

I prefer airport area. easier to get to

If downtown a hotel with a parade nearby or attached to leave car safer

Winnipeg has bad smash and grab in downtown

Sometimes have stuff in car and feel much safer leaving car in an indoor parking lot

There are some good hotels in the south side of the city (Fort Garry area). Airport has many good new hotels but is saturated with SPs and is a bit of a long drive for pooners living in the south.

Also consider a condo in the Corydon area (no hotels there, but a pleasant area)

St Boniface is pleasant, is just off the downtown, has one OK hotel, the Norwood. But condo is best, especially north of Provencher Blvd.

On site privacy and discretion is more important than physical location accross the city. If you are worth my time, I'll cross a desert to see you.

As long as you're not located in the North End or some parts of Elmwood, location doesn't matter much to me. All parts of town are convenient to some and inconvenient to others.

It's far more important to me that the place be clean and well supplied with fresh towels and washcloths. It would also be highly desirable for the lady to change the sheets after each encounter.

Thank you gentlemen, lots of info to consider. Things have changed. When I was there last, it was downtown that wad preferred. That was pre-Jets return tnough.

Thank you all again,

I prefer downtown. Never had a problem finding parking, don't know what you guys are talking about. Plus when you park at a hotel parking lot, YOU ARE PARKING IN A HOTEL PARKING LOT. Where is the discretion?

Downtown I could park right in front of a hotel, no big deal because there are so many reasons to park there, nobody would think anything of it. But if anyone saw my car parked in a hotel parking lot by the airport, that is very different.

Humphrey's is good. Parking is easy and discrete entrance in the back, right by elevators.

I agree, i am not a local though, i spend 20-30 night in winnipeg at hotels, always in the polo/park airport area

Would prefer a visit to me at one of the upscale area hotels

Personally...I avoid dowtown like the plague! Winnipeg has a less than stellar rep for both personal and vehicle safety downtown...and I do live here.

I used to go to the gym in Fort Garry Place on Saturday mornings.

Very common to see piles of glass on the street where cars had their windows smashed.

Not one or two cars. Every car for three or four blocks on both sides of the street.

Yep, Eraser is correct. Downtown Winnipeg is disgusting.

Airport area is my preference. Reasons for me ..... are ease to get to and navigate, discretion, parking and vehicle safety as has been mentioned and location for other activities that I like to do while in the city. For example Polo Park, many good restaurants, Casino close by and of course Hooters ;)

There are more and more Suite hotels all the time now in this area with nice suites and at a reasonable rate as well. Just my opinion however as we all vary on our accommodation preferences.

I rented a room with a jacuzzi there two summers ago.

Great room but all you could see out the window was a cement wall.
