I just saw this and 'ditto'!

I recently watched source code with jake gyllenhaal (Donnie darko) and it had a surprisingly psychological/fantasy undertoned ending. Was interesting :)

If you like funny movies both Ted (mark wahlberg) and that's my boy (adam sander) are hilarious!!

And ladies may enjoy Channing tatums ass in magic mike but the plot is really terrible lol. Useful as mild porn tho lol... Oo baby

I can't get enough of Marilyn movies she is from another planet!

Just read Robert Bloch's Psycho for the first time so I got in the mood.

I watched Hitchcock and loved it. Sir Anthony Hopkins rocks it as usual in the title role. And it's filled to the brim with that wonderfully dry British humor. Not to mention awesome performances by both Scarlett Johansson (surprisingly) and Helen Mirren (not so surprisingly). And I don't know who the guy is who they got to play Anthony Perkins but the resemblance and mannerisms were uncanny!

It center's around the making of Psycho and the relationship issues between Hitchcock and his wife (Mirren) arising from his obsession with his leading ladies. Will try not to spoil anything but my favorite bit was Hitchcock "composing" the screams of the viewers during the first screening of Psycho. Here's the trailer

and a PSA!

So after having seen Hitchcock and after having read the book I got in the mood to watch Psycho again as I hadn't seen it in a while and it hasn't lost its charms! Despite how dated it is (1960) it still managed to make me jump in my seat during at least one scene.

Recently saw for the very first time "Inside Man" with Clive Owen and Denzel Washington. Excellent bank robbery movie. The twist at the end was totally unexpected.

I've recently caught up with 3 movies I've wanted to see. The sitter with Jonah Hill before he lost weight for 21 Jump Street. It was so hilarious that people kept giving me strange looks on the train because I kept laughing out loud.

I also got around to watching the Hunger games for the first time. Done really well, almost makes me want to read the books because it may be exquisitely written.

And I watched That's my Boy with Adam Sandler. I couldn't even pause it to go pee. I didn't want to miss a min.

Recently I went to see Hansel and Gretel and it was Great! I recommend anyone to see it :)

For recent movies my favourites are:

Skyfall - I agree this is one of the best Bond movies which was a great way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the series.

Ted - Really funny movie, I enjoy the Family Guy style humour (from the same creator) and the pop culture references are fun to see.

I've seen the trailer for Hitchcock and look forward to seeing it as I am a fan of Alfred Hitchcock and would like to see how the story connects to some of the books I've read on his personal life. As mentioned in a previous post Hitchcock did at times obsess with his leading ladies and was not particularly fond of young children as per a recent interview I read with Melanie Griffith about her mom Tippi Hendren working for Hitchcock and Melanie being a small girl on the set.

The Sessions starring Helen Hunt, William Macy and dang it,I forgot the name of the male lead, oh well. Based on the true story of a middle aged polio victim who loses his virginity during sessions with a researcher/sex surrogate.

This movie should be of interest to most cerbies. It is warm, funny, touching, and the great Wm. Macy is a hoot as a priest. Also, Helen Hunt fully nude, hehe!

I think this is sort of a limited run "art house" type as I saw included in a series of special showings , so it may be hard to find. Must see!

Cabin in the Woods was a really clever and entertaining horror. It had a lot of fun playing with the usual cliches of horror movies, and director Joss Whedon always manages to insert some good laughs in his work.

I can't say there's been much released in 2013 so far that's impressed. Hopefully the summer picks it up.

I love comedies but was a little disappointed in Identity theif, expected it to be much funnier. Melissa Mcarthy is one of the best out there, but this wasn't one of her best movies, jmo. Still highly recommend Here comes the boom-for a great comedy.

Here's a short list.

In Theaters: A Good Day to Die Hard, Jack the Giant Slayer, Life of Pi, Olympus Has Fallen, Oz The Great and Powerful, Silver Linings PLaybook. With the exception of Good Day, all are worthy of a look.

On Blu Ray: John Dies at the End, Lincon, Killing Them Softly, Parental Guidance, Les Miserables, This is 40, The Hobbit, Zero Dark Thirty, Rise of the Guardians, Skyfall, Red Dawn and Argo. Mostly good with Parental Guidance the sole exception.

Django Unchained.

A great western! Tarantino's kinda hit or miss for me but this was definitely a hit.

Chronicle.

An interesting twist on the "found footage" genre. Thankfully there is hardly any "Shaky cam" thanks to the characters' telekinetic powers holding the camera steady lol.

I just finished watching the movie "

" with Karine Vanasse. It's a French Canadian film but I'm sure it's available with subtitles. It was amazing!

Just bought this classic. I've looked for years trying to find it, and it was on sale at HMV. 5 bucks and it will never get pawned or loaned.

I love this movie. Its interesting to see these actresses in their current roles and it is truly my most favorite movie. (well, except for Rocky Horror Picture Show, nothing can ever replace this one.)
