    mac vs pc?

There both evil. I'd say get a pc, install Ubuntu and learn Linux. You'll outlive both Windows and Mac. Linux is King!!!! Not a fan of Macs because after 2012 they started soldering parts forcing you to go to the store if you want to upgrade. With a PC If I wanted to put in 2 more sticks of ram I could buy it cheap on kijji and do it myself. With a Mac since there starting to solder most parts your forced to go to the store and pay a high fee. Plus if you encounter a major issue instead of fixing your macbook they'll just give you a discount to buy another one rather then fix it. I'm not a fan of that business tactic. So if you can do your own repairs go to PC but if your not sure or okay with paying a little more then go with Macs. But i'm sure most of the SPs can find a tech nerd who can fix it for them anyway. But when it comes down to things they both suck.

    Best VPN?

Tor is probably the best but its slow because it involves whats called "Onion Routing" as it keeps rerouting to a new IP. VPNs are only good for end-end communication between a client and a dedicated server for that network. Outside of that network nothing is secure. For example I could connect to nordVPN and anything I access between nordVPN and me is secure via a tunnel. But if the nordVPN server makes requests for me on my behalf anything it requests outside of the secure end-end connection between me and the server can be viewed. So really all a VPN is doing is just adding 1 more layer. Your packets can still be viewed but it will pick up the nordVPNs server IP not yours. In all honesty VPNs are dying, virtualization is probably the secure way to go now as you can keep spawning new IPs and MAC address. Or create an almost infinite number of subnetworks within a network.
  3. Could you not just build a connection to Visual Studio? http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms171893.aspx Its a long shot but I was thinking if you could build a connection to visual studio and then release it as an app.

    Using tags

In terms of HTML tags for creating webpages this is a great page. http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp But, you would need to know CSS if you wanted to add more style and JavaScript or action script if you wanted interactivity. Depending on the developer, Some developers hate javascript and others hate flash/action script.
  5. Generally, mailer demon is when you tried to send/receive an email and it failed. click the link below: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/commonissues/common-03.html However, take persuasions especially after yahoo got hacked back in July. http://articles.cnn.com/2012-07-12/tech/tech_web_yahoo-users-hacked_1_passwords-yahoo-accounts-hack Clean your cache and change your password. Run a spyware check if you need to.

    mac vs pc?

I've never had a problem with PC's, but thats because I always buy heavy duty Desktop replacments and Gaming Laptops. The average or as I call it mainstream PC sucks, you never buy anything they sell at future shop/best buy and etc. The problem is for the exception of gamers most people haven't heard of Alienware or the heavy duty gaming laptops on the market and assume all PC's suck. I mean you can get dual graphics cards in an Alienware MX 17 Laptop, something a mac doesn't have and it is a way more powerfull laptop compared to a mac. If anything I whould suggest getting a nice tablet and a cheap desktop, that way you get the best of both worlds at a good price. Additional Comments: 80% of games are programed with Direct X and of course Direct X works best with Windows because Direct X is a Microsoft API. So, PCs are generally better. However times are changing. Plus PC gaming is dying to consoles.
  7. Google it. You can figure it out from Google. Not a fan of tech support unless you really have to I just think its a rip off and you can figure out the problems yourself. If its a PC problem you should back up everything, get your windows key and reinstall windows.
  8. Maybe I'm showing my age, but I find that most technical problems you can figure it out. Your probably a nice person trying to give a hand, but what really annoys me is when people charge people for technical services much higher than if they can repair it themselves. Hardware problems I find are easy to repair there are also lots of fresh tech grads out there. Its software problems that I find your more likely to encounter. As a golden rule never buy or get services from Bestbuy/Futureshop.
  9. Not to sure what critical updates setting you have, but you can change it so that it only updates certain programs and notify you if you want to install or not. I normally just update windows and my Anti-virus. It also good to do backups, just in case your laptop gets corrupted.
  10. You will see a better performance increase, especially at booting up. I now get an overall 7.0 windows experience score on my laptop after switching to a SSD. The problem is price, luckily I can fit two drives in my laptop so I ended up doing what most people do use the solid state drive for my OS and a larger 500gb 7200 rpm sata for storage.
  11. Photoshop is the best option, the only problem is price. piano8950 instructions are the easiest to follow, there is at least 3 ways to do things in Photoshop. Just remember Photoshop is like working with a collage of pictures, so all the pictures will be stacked on top of each other through different layers. If you need help there are lots of documentation online.
  12. I like Firefox seams to handle websites that use the latest version of JavaScript better. With "Internet Exploder" you'll find some webpages that contain JavaScript unable to work. We will see what happens in the next couple years with people viewing webpages on there mobile devices we will be seeing a newer accepted browser.
  13. Hmm.. I'm wondering if the problem is the .exe/installation file. It could that you've downloaded updates on your computer that have made it incompatible. I would re download and get the latest version of AVG and try it. Failing that head to Canada Computers they sell Panda Antivirus Pro 2012 for $19.99.
  14. Yahoo and Hotmail aren't known for being secure. By that I mean its easier for someone via Hotmail or Yahoo to create a fake admin. email message that seams genuine. Its obviously phishing.
  15. I have a samsung galaxy mini. I Couldn't be more happier I paid $150 for it and got it unlocked. Has the same bells and whistles as a standard Galaxy. I'm with chat*r so I pay about $45 a month for unlimited calls and almost unlimited data. If I wasn't in roaming range I whould have signed up with wind and whould have had unlimited text and data for about $40 a month. I whould stay away from apple, its too restrictive and controlling I whouldn't be able to get the great rate that I have if I got an iPhone. Plus I whould have been traped to a plan. I'm not intrested in showing off, I just want to get the right right deal so the iPhone isn't for me. Rummur has it the iPhone 5 is delayed so they can resign the same people that orginally signed up with the iPhone4 once there contract ends.
