Newbie Question: References

Hi,

I'm new here and looking for a bit of advice.

I'm considering booking an sp through an escort agency and the particular agency I am looking at is asking for either a reference or a work #. Obviously, I can't provide a reference, as I have not hired an escort before.

I could give them the phone number of my employer, but I have some concerns about that... first and foremost being that my employer would seriously frown on this sort of behavior were they to know about it. Furthermore, there is no way that this agency would be able to contact me through this work number, as I work on an on-call basis at various locations throughout my city.... and for the icing on the cake I am a seasonal employee and am in between contracts right now (so technically unemployed until September).

I'm wondering how common the practice of asking for references and/or work number is and if anyone has any advice for a person in my situation.

Providing a reference is for a lot of ladies an industry norm. Most of the ladies I see require full verification/screening, including real name, board handle confirmed by PM, phone number, email address. Now if you don't have a reference because it is your first time, you can provide a work number (although I understand why you could be reluctant to give that out) Explain that to the lady/agency they may have other screening methods One come to mind right away, they are verification sites, there may be others as well but the two I know of are Preferred 411 and Date Check

My advice, give out full information (name, board handle confirmed by PM, phone, and email) and explain as of yet you don't have a reference. They will work with you from there, or should

In most cases, the refernces are nice to have, but not necessarily a must. If you contact your choice of one or more of the lovely ladies on this site, not an agency, they should be able to work you through the process. All the checks and balances are for the ladies safety, but they will work with you to provide services, as they are independents. If your handle implies your situation, you will probably have a hard time finding someone, lmao

No, you weren't replying for nothing. I was also curious about this, and can only assume there are other people that are new to this who are interested as well. So by all means, keep answering all our noob questions :)

I agree with GC1968... So of us are still gathering the information (and possibly nerve) to make that first encounter.

Yea, the reference issue certainly compounds the "working up the nerve" part.
