Musical Memories

Recommended Posts

Music is a powerful tool and can trigger memories and emotions in much the same way as smell, touch, taste or sight. Often times we can relate to the lyrics and the story told in many songs can somehow have relevance in our own lives. This thread is designed to share some of these songs and, if you wish, share the memory or relevance.

Memories of my late daughter:

Tears in Heaven - Eric Clapton

Wind Beneath My Wings - Bette Midler

Last Kiss - Pearl Jam rendition

Memories of high school Muchmusic video dances:

Thriller - Michael Jackson

Shout - Tears for Fears

Addicted to Love - Robert Palmer

Thoughts of a very special lady:

Moscas en la Casa - Shakira

Patience - Guns and Roses

Thoughts of my granddaughter:

You Are My Sunshine - Copeland

You Are So Beautiful - Joe Cocker

Wonderful idea of a post!

First one that came to mind for me was my first "our song" with my first girlfriend. "Hard to Say You're Sorry" by Journey.

I like this post too as I couldnt't agree more with the fact that music does trigger specific memories.

Rammstein - Du Hast (The soundtrack of my 2003 summer after graduating from high school)

Dragonforce - Trail of Broken Hearts (After experience severe heartbreak from a previous love)
