BBC reports the G-spot a myth???

Recommended Posts

The BBC reports some new scientific research that suggests that the G-spot doesn't really exist, or that it may be a figment of sex therapists' imaginations.

What are your views?

But seriously, folks.

Apparently the methodology of the study (King's College, London, published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine) was to ask identical and fraternal twins whether or not they had a G-spot. The theory being that if the G-spot is a physical reality, then sets of identical twins would both report having one much more often than fraternal twins. The study found that there was not a higher correlation between identical twins in this regard.

One possible criticism of this study is that there is a difference between having a G-spot, and actually finding it (stop me if you've heard this mentioned before in the "g-spot wars").

Another teensy weensy detail that may be worth noting is that, of the 1,804 women who participated in this study, 56% claimed to have a g-spot. (So,that would be, by the study's own calculation ... 1,010 women mistaken about their own bodies. What silly, silly girls!).
