Escort concerned something was wrong before attack

Recommended Posts

A bit of a follow-up from the previous article. It sounds like the Police have reached out to the industry and are looking to open the lines of communication. Perhaps allowing the ladies to feel some level safety and security, and that's a great thing.

Interesting article.

What I don't understand is WHY the driver did not come up? He is there for her safety and he just sat in his car after reading the text.

I agree the driver should have gone in and checked with the girl if everything was fine.

This is a tough situation to call. There were cruisers outside the hotel. Altho outcalls are legal and the SP wasn't breaking the law, living off the avails is illegal and a driver lives off the avails according to the law. If the SP had been with with LE her safety was not in jeopardy, but the driver could have been facing criminal charges. A driver is just that - a driver. They are not usually trained to handle dangerous situations and the perpetrator did not keep her long enough to send up flags. It is a false security to think someone is there to "save" an SP. We all know it takes only seconds to do damage and unless someone is in the room with you, there really isn't much they can do by way of protection.

I am saddened that this happened to her, but pointing the finger at the driver is not the answer. These acts of violence against us happen, and it is a risk we take knowingly. The only real option is to ensure that cases like this are well publicized and other potential offenders realize they are going to be held accountable and continue to verify. I hope this gives the hobbiest on CERB an opportunity to think the next time an SP asks for "real" information. With accurate verification we are simply trying to protect ourselves. I hate to say it but Ottawa is the worst city to try and verify clients, getting accurate information is like pulling teeth. So help us out here boys, allow us to set a standard for verification...

Exactly right Cat.. It was a situation where the driver was right downstairs.. there were 5 cruisers in front of the hotel..

It was a very bad situation as it tied our hands.. It did appear at the time it might have been a situation with LE.. This guy is obviously very good at being the perfect preditor.. Thank God we got the SOB..

The good news in all of this is it has bolstered the need for better communtication with the police as well as highlighted the need for a better relationship on both end.

At the end of this, we are coming out of this with the victim getting the justice she deserves, the rapist being caught and charged, and a much better understanding with the police. Its because of their desire to make things safer for the SPs that this crime was even discovered.. So we have to give the Police the credit that they deserve ..

It's always a difficult situation when you are dealing with violence and attacks against SPs. Especially agency girls. The law isn't exactly friendly towards us most of the time and a lot of girls (and agencies) are hesitant to act when there are - or may be - police involved.

There's no way to say for sure what the "right" thing to do would have been. At the end of the day, someone got beat up. And the prick who did it is finally coming to justice. Unless someone has a time-machine they're hiding the garage, there's nothing else to do but speculate on what could have been.

Ladies, NEVER hesitate to call the police. EVER! Trust me. I have had to call them before, and they are more concerned about our safety and taking pieces of detritus like that douchebag off the street than they are about harassing us or charging us with prostitution. The only time you have to be worried about the cops giving you a hard time is if you have large amounts of alcohol or any drugs on the premises.

Great points. And please always always always remember that prostitution is NOT ILLEGAL. You will never ever be charged with prostitution, and in an outcall situation like to a hotel room, there is absolutely positively NOTHING that you can be charged with (either the sp or the client, for that matter)

But I don't think there would be a problem with having large amounts of alcohol around, tho, is there?
