Willing to bargain... Are you?

Recommended Posts

Guest ***nsut***jr

Maybe this is a reflection on the attitude of society on a larger scale.

I see us becoming bigger and bigger consumers that want everything cheap.

I'll take a cheap one rather than none at all or I will beat down the price of a good one and then buy it on credit. (I am referring to goods here)

Whatever happened to saving up for what you need and buying it when you have the cash. Pay a fair price and get good service and value.

When we extend that attitude to services we start down a slippery slope.

I am really not sure why any guy would negotiate with an SP.

It just shows a low opinion of the persons services and that goes for any profession.

Sorry that you ladies have to field these kind of BS questions from the cheapskates.

That's it... I'm a genius!!! :D

Here's the new business model that we all need to adapt.

Then everyone will be happy.

Dear Customer:

Welcome to the PS/SP Service. (PerSecond ServiceProvider Service)

We simply just need to start Per-Second-Billing. We can charge it directly to your credit card as a discreet charitable corporation. We take the worry away for you!

Other fees can include but are not limited to 3$ Administration service fees, 5% networking tax and a 13% Sexual Access Tax, which is per transaction, but is limited to no amount more than 250% of the numerical value of the PS billing feature, unless roaming charges apply, which in all Canadian States they shall, at rates of 8% to 14% depending on location and $ amount of account at time of transaction.

Thanks for Shopping with Sara!!!

*HAHAHA, my slogan can be...

In the long run, you're screwed, in more ways than one!

Let the market place decide.

I know it is often hard for the providers to post donations as they can be hassled by others because of their rates. I suggest that for donation amounts that SP's can simply be PM'd for their rate. Sometimes depending on snow storms or other things, donations may change. It should be kept private regardless.

Cheers

Whatever happened to the following for posting pricing;

$ for $100.00

$$ for $200.00

$$$.5 for $350.00

This way people know how much to bring and you can always refer to your add or post. If they do call to "re-quote" JUST SAY NO and hang up do not reply.

Do you really want to be with that person?

I wish I could negotiate my property taxes or my income taxes.

really? So when it's snowing I should change my donations? Higher or lower?

and what about when it's raining? or being sunny outside?

Do I change them because I saw a squirrel with peanut butter?

So if I understand your logic:

27.74$ instead of 36.99$ for bus ticket (1 way only)

75.00$ instead of 100.00$ for hotel

60.00$ instead of 80.00$ for manicure-pedicure

15.00$ instead of 20.00$ for tanning

30.00$ instead of 40.00$ for food

And so on... A day spent in Ottawa costs me at least 200.00$.

I wonder how the pharmacy clerk would react if I tell him I give him only 75% of the price of condoms and lub just because some client told me to bargain my rates because of a snowstorm... Or prehaps, I should get my outfits at Value Village instead of Jacob?!?

Maybe this is a reflection on the attitude of society on a larger scale.

I think society has been like that since long before you or I, or any of the SP's on this board have been alive. And I don't mean just something that happened 1 or 2 generations ago, it's something that happened thousands of generations ago. I think bargaining has always been around.

However, something that has changed from 1 or 2 generations ago is that people complain about it publicly on the message boards, both clients and SP's. We used to keep this private at one time. It's resulted in people learning all of the wrong lessons. Clients learn that every last act is for sale given enough money, no need to learn to talk to a woman, no wonder they are more concerned with bargaining than getting to know. And SPs accommodate this by making all this available for sale, like a menu at a Chinese restaurant.

Me just don't understand:-?...would any hobbiests out there be willing to negogiate their salary with their boss for a reduced income.

And don't the hobbiests who do that to the ladies (I hope few and far between) realize how demeaning, disrespectful and insulting it is.

And as much as the ladies provide a illusion of a date, and do so very well, they have bills to pay, mortgages, car payments, rent, food etc...how would any guys like it if at the end of the month they couldn't pay some/all of their bills

If you can't afford to see a lady, don't book an appointment with her...at least she can get an appointment with a hobbiest who will treat her like the lady she is...with respect.

RG

Additional Comments:

Employee: Excuse me sir, may I talk to you?

Boss: Sure, come on in. What can I do for you?

Employee: Well sir, as you know, I have been an employee of this prestigious firm for over ten years.

Boss: Yes.

Employee: I won't beat around the bush. Sir, I would like a raise. I currently have four companies after me and so I decided to talk to you first.

Boss: A raise? I would love to give you a raise, but this is just not the right time.

Employee: I understand your position, and I know that the current economic down turn has had a negative impact on sales, but you must also take into consideration my hard work, pro- activeness and loyalty to this company for over a decade.

Boss: Taking into account these factors, and considering I don't want to start a brain drain, I'm willing to offer you a ten percent raise and an extra five days of vacation time. How does that sound?

Employee: Great! It's a deal! Thank you, sir!

Boss: Before you go, just out of curiosity, what companies were after you?

Employee: Oh, the Electric Company, Gas Company, Water Company and the Mortgage Company!

LOL

I agree, there should be no bartering. As Grasshopper pointed out, it will only ruin the mood - and everyone loses. The hobbyist must do his research and accept the rates as dictated by the SP. I am sure she has done her homework and set her personal rate in line with what the local market can bare (simple economics), congruent with what she is comfortable with herself.

I am still relatively new to this hobby and experimenting to some degree. I have tried encounters between 240$ and 750$ an hour. It is a bit expensive, from my perspective, because I prefer a minimum of two to three hours per session. Sadly, I too must draw the line (somewhere) as I find the price for an over-nighter prohibitively expensive. Maybe someday. Hey, but that is my choice. If there is something you want, save your bucks in a special cookie jar and when the time comes enjoy it.

Well, I seemed to hit a nice hot spot. I am not devaluing any service nor do I really care. The simple fact is that supply and demand may change a price and that price need not be published so as to avoid criticsm from others.

As for the snow storm analogy, perhaps you are sitting in a hotel room paying the $2 bills or whatever and there is no clientelle. If you need money, you could post a special without a price so no one gets pissed off.

There are many great gals in this city that are worth every penny. There are others that aren't worth a penny.

As for SarahM - I don't like being called names and I have always been respectful. At the same time, I really don't need your 2 cents.

Unbelievable!!!!! If you don't like it, get a job at Timmy's and pay taxes. Better yet, get an education and do something that will last.

Additional Comments:

Note - I never said barter, nor did I say negotiate. The price should be firm upon arrival.

Seriously?

LOL, Common now... now you're trying to make people mad?

Very 'adult' of you.

I hate when people tell me to get an education (especailly since I already have one.)... not that this was directed at me. It's just funny how some people get off on assumptions..

Anyways... This whole thread, while a good idea, has really been over done.

Good gents won't bother trying this, the guys who will aren't going to stop because of some random thread on Cerb.

Either change your advertising or ignore them... because you can't really just write a thread and make all the shitty clients go away.

Get a diploma? You would be surprise if you really knew us to know WHY we are in this business... It's not a quick cash story. We have to invest to make money. Telling somebody to go work at Timmy's is wrong! I did'nt know you this way... Deceithful. Sara is very entertaining, knows out to put a party on, is awsome in public relation, and I'm pretty sure, in intimate situation.

Most of us are very well educated but we have decided to become sexperts.

Now, my rates are listed as when you go anywhere. I offer a service and as a hairdresser, my prices are listed. Taboo is over. Sex industry is legal, and I had enough of ass wholes dealing. Too expensive? Go fuck somebody else.

Naomi on a whole different tone... Since I've published this thread, nobody tried to negociate... Wow!

I may be off the norm or be alone in this view but it is my understanding that the money is for the lady's time and companionship regardless of what services may or may not be offered during that time. I have the same fixed donation for an hour of pleasure time that I receive by the visting private dancers (no FS) and escorts.

Bargaining is the worse way to start off a date. It is like dating your GF (or a lady friend) and bargain with her as what would be the (least expensive) restaurant or dance bar that you can take her for the night in order to save money!!!. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me ol.

I have a high school diploma, a college certificate and a university degree, all of which were obtained in a language other than my mother tongue. I have had a wonderful and succesful career in the mainstream world. I changed my profession within the last year and am enjoying myself along with my new found freedom.

I find it insulting when I am faced with a "rate negotiator". I have set my donation at what I feel is appropriate for me. Should you not like the amount you are more than free to look elsewhere. Should I decide to, at any time and for any reason, lower that rate, it is my decision to make. I will determine if a bad weather special, or a birthday special or a Christmas special is in order.

I don't normally post to threads that I see heading towards a negative slide but this one got my blood boiling! We are intelligent, classy, beautiful and witty women and deserve to be treated with respect!!!

Congrats! I mean, I could be wrong... Maybe it will help ya...

I have a funny feeling they're probably off buggin' others at the moment though, seeing as they've already pissed you off.

(Some will be back in a week-month when they forgot they already tried that shit with you... or at least that's the trend I see behind the time-wasters.)

That's the problem, the one's that piss us off are the one's who really don't care. Like the one's that are always booking and then always canceling or just not showing up... I get it, they're beyond annoying... but aside from ignoring them, I don't think there's much we can do.

Put your chin up, their trying to barter just means they know you're too good for them. ;)

Don't let people like that win and keep you angry, blow it off... Doesn't bother you because you're way too good to let people bother you, you're too busy enjoying life while they're off trying to annoy people. 8)

xo

Side note; SA, some ladies do like to charge by the service... that's their choice. Not all of us are simply charging for our time, but that's no reason to try and barter someone rates.

... and I've dated guys before that try to barter down which restaurant we will go to that night in order to spend as little money as possible.

Lol... Some people are just jerks.

Uneducated?

Give me a break. I've got two undergrad degrees already, I'm almost finished a third, and I'll be headed to graduate school in a year.

Have you ever considered that we CHOSE this profession, from a myriad of other professions as the best choice for us?

As for the thread, negotiating the rate not only makes you look like a cheap asshole, but it tells me that you have zero respect for me.

If you can't afford my rates, you've got two options: see another provider with lower rates, or save up until you've got enough to see me. End of story.

Just to clarify that I never said it is not lady's choice to charge by service or if they do it is okay to barter.

Actually yes you are right Naomi that some do charge by service. After I read your post I remember a recent date which the lady asked for some more upon arrival on the top of what she charges for her time if kissing was going to be included. I did not even think of bargaining. That would have completely ruined the whole date to start off with a discord. I had already donated her some (five times the money she was asking extra) for her time anyway. I had a choice of paying the extra dollars and have a friendly date-like pleasurable time with a happy lady (as that was exactly what I received so much that until now I forgot about the extra dollars) or (God forbid) argue with the lady and possibly save only one-fifth of the original donation and then have an unfriendly unpleasurable hour with an unhappy lady. I chose the former lol and I believe it was a smart choice, considering that for outcalls it is not as easy to reject visiting lady unless in very rare cases that I had done so but not for the reason of amount of donation (a couple of bait and switch cases and a case of very young lady who refused to provide proof of age). It does NOT pay off in any way or make sense at all to bargain for what the lady is asking for for many reasons already mentioned in this thread by the posting ladies and gents.

Some of you know me and know better as I have high respect for many. We have had good times. I have also always tipped (almost always) and have NEVER cancelled so don't point your frustration at me. Those of you who don't know me do not have the right to call me names especially when I am trying to stick up for others. If you read the thread, I am not saying it is my money issue, nor are my talking about me.

I am speaking for those girls who have been hassled by agencies and other SP's if they charge below the going rate. Simple put, don't post rates. PM instead to determine the rate.

I have met some of you and do know your education levels. Don't classify yourself because of a general statement aimed at a few or someone that pissed me off. Some of you run a superb business. Keep it up.

If you have a problem with what I have said, PM me and we can discuss.

My only problem is in generalizations and the response that perhaps we would be better off working at Timmies. It came across as rude and demeaning. Perhaps we took your comments the wrong way and if so i am sorry. If you are going to post something that may appear controversial, be ready for the backlash.

Please tell me what name I called you???

I posted two things in this thread, both were jokes. The PerSecond Billing on and the Squirrel one *(The squirrel one being a reference to the movie Up and Malika's comment... Nothing to do with you.)

I never called you a name and I dislike being told that I can't contribute "my 2 cents" on a public thread. I'm sorry if I just offer up funny stuff instead of complaints.

I also didn't complain about my job, Sir, and I will hold back what I want to say on the comment about me not having an education...
