There will be a community forum on prostitution, to be held Feb. 10 at Tom Davies Square in Sudbury from 7 to 9:30 p.m. ã??
[INDENT]The Second Chance committee consists of members of the police and local community groups that are trying to address prostitution in a "holistic" fashion. The work of the group evolved from other committees over the past three-and-a-half years and now consists of representatives from addictions, police, public health and former and current sex trade workers. ...

The human face of prostitution is what the police and [Second Chance] said they hope to address at the community forum at Tom Davies Square. The forum will address prostitution laws as they currently exist. Members of the police will speak about the impact prostitution has on the communities the street-walkers operate in. There will be a presentation about the issues surrounding addictions, as well as a report on the Jane and John schools. After the presentations, the public will be invited to discuss situations and ideas that may help lead to solutions to the prostitution situation in Greater Sudbury.
