Thanks to both yourself and your buddy twiz for catching this one (I think some credit should go to spiker too on the other board) and the disclosure.

In my article back in May, I did express my doubts about her picture. I suspected either it is not her picture or it is an old picture of her (who has gained at least 50 Ibs since the picture taken). But I could not prove it at the time. Thanks for providing the proof now.

She has verified her new photos with us (it was the only way we would allow her to post her ad again on escorts-canada).

We explained how bad it is to put up fake photos and how it damages the business. I really don't think the new independents realize how wrong this is and I think the fear of being found be someone who knows them supersedes the reasoning for using photos of someone else they find online with the same body type that they feel they can pass off as them. Now I am not making excuses (it's wrong, I hate it and I do scold them every time. But I also take the time to explain why it is so wrong and why it is so bad to do it. We do not allow negative posts here but we do have a bait and switch section on here so that is a pretty good indication as to how I feel about this as it is false marketing and just deceitful and wrong). Let's hope she learned her lesson but it's hard to re-establish any credibility once this is brought to everyone's attention!

At 5'5'' and 145lbs she is a bigger girl so part of the reason could be self conscious / esteem (I am just guessing as I don't know for sure)

What I really think it is what I mentioned above. This seams to be the biggest reason I get when I ask them point blank why they did that. They simply do not want someone they know to accidentally find her doing this work (You know... father, friend, brother, horny uncle, next door neighbor, etc..) most of you guys would not put up your real name here or a real photo of yourself in your profile for the same reasons (you would not want others to know you are part of this world as it's not socially acceptable in many circles).

Sorry but that just doesn't fly with this cowboy if you're going to put up a picture it should be your own picture plain and simple, let's get down to brass tacks, these women are selling their services based on looks, posting false pictures is deception, not to mention the copyright issues with the stolen pictures.

With camera's so readily available these days there is no reason why a simple honest picture that still conceals the identity of the provider cannot be taken. All it takes is a little creativity, but it's easier to be lazy and steal and lie.

I can appreciate the stigma that some might feel from being associated with this business, but this hobby or trade has moved past the days of street corners and back alleys and to be successfull you need to market yourself and to market yourself you need pictures, your own pictures and if you can't do that then maybe you shouldn't be doin this for a living or to pay the bills.

I am just letting everyone know the reasons I am told from the ladies and the agencies I confront about this and passing the info on to you guys. Remember I have dealt with this problem for MANY many MANY many years now. (At least 10 times a month).

I remember last year .... a montreal agency tried to put up a whack of fake ads on EC and I called him and asked him point blank on the phone what he was doing. He straight out said "we own the copyrights to the photos, we purchased the royalty rights to publish them and print them from a website" and he got very mad when I told him that if the photos are not real genuine photos we of the actual ladies available we would not post them. He said the ladies refused to have photos online and these photos brought him more business anyway. I said "but it's wrong and your baiting and switching your customers with fake photos and generic descriptions"... he sees nothing wrong with it as he said "it would be to expensive to put up ads for all the ladies and the point of the ads it to get the guys to call then they would sell the available ladies to the guys while they had the guy on the phone, You can send anyone close to the photo and these guys don't have a clue".

We of course refused to put these photos up and he never did advertise with us but since he was willing to pay for A LOT of ads with us I assume his agency was pretty big and just one giant bait and switch scam. I get calls and emails all the time from the Asian ones... just look at the front page of terb now... OMG my eyes hurt with all the flashy asian banners - all look the same. This is 10's or Thousands of dollars in revenue to put up all these ads (WE REFUSE THEM ALL) that is why it pisses me off so much when someone makes a idiot comment like "the ad is still running because of the money" - Bullshit... it's because we give the ladies an opportunity to come clean and educate them and persuade them into doing the right thing.

No, I don't think it's right or acceptable in any way... but I am smart enough to know why it happens.

Marketing is very important in any business and if you have a crappy as seen on tv product but market it right with fancy images you make millions. Pet Rock? Most of the brand name stuff we buy is no better then the no-name stuff but we are willingly pay more as the marketing makes us think it's better.

I don't like it anymore then you guys. Honest (That is why we have a bait and switch area here to rat people out for doing it. But the real reason I have the bait and switch area here is to detour the bait and switch people from joining cerb.ca and posting bait and switch photos - it appears to be a very smart thing as we have very little problem here with that).... but the problem would not exist if they were not making money doing it... so you guys have to send the ladies away when they bait and switch you (and if enough of you do the agencies will stop as they will loose girls and loose money) if you guys accept the booking then you loose and encourage them to keep doing it.

My guess is Cowboy.... if the person is using fake photos she does not have any intention of being in the business very long (most of the women do not at first).... and also many women do this as they do not have lots of options to pay the bills. You do not need a education to be a escort, you can set your own working hours, you do not have to work for someone else, you can make the same money as a well educated university graduate (and then some) and in a pinch you can have all your bills paid off. This is the perfect business for a someone looking for a quick fix to financial difficulties and a perfect business for someone who does not want to do it full time for a living but put some extra money in her pocket. That is how many of the ladies get into this business. Others see friends making good money and try it out and very few get into it saying "I would like to choose prostitution as my career choice" (Sure some do, but even the ones who would admit to this would probably admit that it was not the first career choice).
