I really need this job so I wanted to get some advice, tips, etc on how I can be a good driver? Again, never done this type of work, and I've never called an agency for personal use. Emma Alexandra 123366 Report post Posted August 1, 2008 i would investigate it more...i know at one time that being a driver wasn't a good idea...not sure how it is now thought...b4 the driver could be charged for some sort of solicitation but some rules have changed and maybe thats one of them. I think it's because you are delivering the person who you know is committing an offence. Guest E**a Report post Posted August 1, 2008 In Montreal, a driver can get a $1500 fine for operating a commercial transportation service without a proper license (which is offered to taxis, busses, etc.) because he is being paid to bring ladies somewhere. mod 135639 Report post Posted August 2, 2008 That would be a by-law fine for not having a taxi license (Like a parking ticket - it does not carry any jail time) but you should review the actual criminal code of canada as it does mention drivers but if memory serves me correctly it is a reference to bringing someone to a known bawdy house and not driving a escort to a outcall. You could still get charged with living off the avails however (probably would not stick in court but it may be something you might want to look into). I know how long I am going to be, and i text my driver within the first 5-10 mins to let them know that i am alright and how long i will be... remember you are the FIRST line of defense in a bad situation because you are right there! god forbid anything does happen, plan the fast route to an er... and encourage ur girl to get examined ASAP and dont be afraid to call police if you feel that you are in over your head, the ladies safety comes before ANYTHING else!!!!! i know that i pay my driver handsomely and have TOTAL trust in him/her. do not get caught up in catty drama, and keep your girls confidentiality from the get go, if you develop a bad rep you will lose a TON of business and the girls will not trust you. our line of work is fun and profitable but sometimes it can be a bit stressful too, so keep that in mind! and most of all put a smile on ur face and have fun!!! good luck xoxoxoxoxo Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
