mod 135639 Report post Posted November 8, 2006 No, they were able to hack into the mail system thru the old forum and send bulk spam email using our server. They also installed a rootkit that caused the server to shut down. The new system is much more secure. The old system the passwords were encrypted so nothing to worry about as a user.
