Dr. Phil Episode on Erotic Services

Recommended Posts

It does bother me that the under age can find my website and other adult related material so easy on the internet. A minor can?t walk into an adult sex store but they can see everything and more on the internet. I can see how this might bring future laws into effect.

I think that making sure underage children have access to adult website is the parents responsibility. Just like they have authority over where their children go, they should be just as concerned and involved in making sure the computer and internet connection they paid and provide for their children's enterntainment, doesn't allow them access to adult sites. Aside from actually keeping an eye on what their children do when they are online, there are numerous programs to restrict access to adult sites. It's a very easy action to take to ensure their kids don't have access to those sites. Failing to set up these safety measures, and simply giving their kids free access to anything they may stumble upon, can't be blamed on the gooverment, the adult/porn industry. The parents are the ones who've dropped the ball and are to blame, if they can't take responsibility for monitoring what kinds of sites their kids have access to... on their own computer.

I understand that having children living at home surfing for adult material is not proper but his attack on "good girls ? cheerleaders, honor students and college graduates" (mainly the college graduates) posting their services on ("honourable") CL as something the parent should get involved in, is absurd. CL is a site that, yes is honourable....however, if it was in any way afraid of being less honourable, wouldn't have the section under services labeled "erotic"

granted, Dr. Phil is preaching from different rules, mainly those that follow under the American ones, which as I've noticed, don't follow the same rules as us in Canada

Keep in mind, I understand what hes saying about parents keeping an eye on what their children search on their computers and post.....but if we're of the consenting age, and of the age to work in this industry....don't guilt the parents. One of the reasons i absolutely disagree with Dr. Phil is if something "wrong" happens with the "children" its the parent's fault for not noticing right away. That to me is wrong if they are of age

Dr Phil is a self righteous preachy son of a bitch. He's funny when he's on Letterman and outside of his Dr Phil persona but his show is absolute crap. For example his daughter in law was a former playboy playmate and softcore porn actress, who posed naked with her other tripplet sisters. Does that mean her parents "dropped the ball" ?

I find Dr.Phil lets his person views get in the way sometimes. His show is good and well produced but stay un-biased. He seems to have issue with SP's / MP's / Porn etc... That's fine but not all feel this way.

Right up, I did not bother watching his video, basically because of who it's from (Dr Phil).

The issue of age is a very nasty one in Canada. For example, at 14, a girl can order her doctor not to dicuss her medical history whit her parents, and he must abide by her wishes, however, should she get pregnant, the parent are responsible (!).

Censorship is being faught all the time, with reason. however, we seem to be headed for a very nasty area where, instead of teaching right and wrong, or what is appropriate, we blanket cover everything with laws. Well, just like prohibition, laws only augment the problem, and add other even more undesireable elements to it.

I saw a "devil Phil" show once, where the guy actually pushed the envelope the other way to get people thinking, and it was hilarious to see Dr Phil types go ape over it ! one thing he said was ok, so echanging sex for favors or money is illegal, well since marriage vows often say he will provide she will perform her duty, is that not a permanent Client/sp relationship ? (again this was to stimulate debate, not an actual morale statement)

someone above said, they will never irradicate it, well I agree, the only way they could is if people were completely isolated from each other, otherwise the supply and demand will always be there (ironically often the demand comes from some hypocrites who actually put in laws to prevent it !!!)

I just watched Made of Honor last week and Patrick Dempsey's father on his 5th marriage to an obvious gold-digger does exactly that! he puts in how many times she has to have sex/give blowjobs etc into the pre-nup before the wedding vows take place! then the song at their reception dance is 'she's a gold digger' hilarious..
